In celebration of National Oromo heroes day, I would like to share these pictures with all of my facebook friends. These pictures were posted at the intelligence center labeled as state terrorist during the Derg regime. Just based on my dad’s picture, I believe this pictures were taken in the early 1980’s after they were in prison for 3-4 yrs. Some of these people were killed after these pictures were taken…most of them spent b/n 8-11 years in Derg prison.
There were a lot more people that were in prison during that time and not in these pictures.
I know all these people very dearly and spent my childhood visiting them in prison along with my dad except for the ones that were killed. They are all family to me…like my uncles and aunts…I have a lot of respect and love for them…
My friend/uncle Ibsaa Gutema sent me these pics few years ago…someone from back home got a hold of these photos and shared it with him.. believe it or not…these pics are still posted at the intelligence center now Wayanne is controlling… I guess these people are still a treat to the government. May they live long enough to see the independent Oromia!!
